Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Will Feature The Coliseum

According to the Final Fantasy Union website, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII producer, Yoshinori Kitase, has said
during an interview over at the French website, Final Fantasy Dream, that the Coliseum from Final Fantasy XIII-2 would return in “some form” for Lightning’s next adventure.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 featured a Coliseum that allowed players to face against challenging enemies by purchasing DLC at the price of $2.99.

Does this mean Lightning Returns will feature a similar DLC based Coliseum? Maybe it will play a bigger part in the final game later this year. Let us know how you feel about the Coliseum being a part of Lightning’s final chapter, and stay up to date on everything Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII with Project Crystallis.

  • I never actually got to play the DLC, but I wouldn’t mind having the Coliseum play a more direct role in the story.
