Square Enix formally established a “Final Fantasy Committee” in order to propel and protect the Final Fantasy franchise’s quality and brand.
Hajime Tabata, Yoshinori Kitase, Naoki Yoshida, and Motomu Toriyama will lead the committee. Final Fantasy XV director Tetsuya Nomura is absent due to his priorities focusing elsewhere in his schedule.
Hajime Tabata has been responsible for titles including Final Fantasy Type-0, Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-, and Before Crisis -Final Fantasy VII-. He is also responsible for upcoming titles Final Fantasy Agito and Final Fantasy XV (along with Tetsuya Nomura).
Yoshinori Kitase has taken part in Final Fantasy V, VI, VII, VIII, X, X-2, Dissidia Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy Adventures, the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, and the Lightning Saga of Final Fantasy XIII.
Naoki Yoshida is a new talent who was able to turn the exceptionally poorly received Final Fantasy XIV into the successful Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Motomu Toriyama contributed in Final Fantasy VII, X, X-2, Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My life as a Darklord/King, and the Lightning Saga of Final Fantasy XIII.
