Final Fantasy Type-0 is another game that our campaign is working for. It was also announced in 2006 like Final Fantasy Versus XIII was. It was initially thought to be a mobile release but later changed to a Playstation Portable game. The change in platform gained more attention among fans.
Final Fantasy Type-0 also went through a name change. It was first named as Final Fantasy Agito XIII but later changed to its current name. It is part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series which includes Final Fantasy Type-0, Versus XIII, XIII, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns: XIII. They all set in different universes with different stories besides the XIII series (though Versus does not relate to the other XIII titles). We really hope to see all of these games eventually come to life.
That is why we are working to convince Square Enix to localize this game. Despite the large western demand, Square Enix North America does not know any of it and recent news showed that a localization for Type-0 is likely dead. It’s been a year since Type-0’s release in Japan October 27th 2011 yet there is only one brief mention about a localization a year ago.
Let’s make our voices reach to Square Enix in all ways possible. Even if the chance of a reply is low, we must put in all efforts possible. It’s very easy. Just sign our petition, follow us on our mediums, and spread about us when you meet some new people! This site can serve as an information outlet for Final Fantasy and Square Enix related news.
Final Fantasy Type-0 is about a world ravaged by war. An ambitious empire is slowly taking over the world. Within this world, there is a stand alone academy that separates itself from the world. It’s a military school and a top class called Class Zero is thrown into the turmoils of this terrible war.
